Inauguración de la exposición Puntas de flecha. Nuevas trayectorias en el arte contemporáneo valenciano el próximo jueves 1 de julio de 2010 a las 20h. en la Lonja del Pescado de Alicante.

Con motivo de esta edición de la exposición he desarrollado una intervención mural de unos 3 m2 /en breve colocaré alguna fotillo/

The aim of this exhibition is to put together some works that show us or question the idea of masculinity, departing from an intimate point of view, based on sexuality and desires. These works far from enclose the subject and give all the answers about that, actually they open a little door into imagination, where maybe we could find all those beautiful boys. The works are basically drawings and illustrations by young artists from different origins. Based on the experience of everyday life, Theo Firmo, Debbie Tea and Alfonso Muro take out of this context their point of view about different themes, presenting a kind of story in separated frames. In Firmo's two series, in most of the works, we can see the relationship between two guys and how that lead to intimate situations. Debbie Tea presents three different guys in an introspective state of mind, thinking inside of themselves, and Alfonso Muro, on the other hand, externalizes the condition of his boys. However, Javi Moreno's works depart from a specific project called hipertexto2009, in which he investigates about the construction of teenagers male identities in internet. In his blog we can learn more about this very interesting project and also see the original images on which are based his works.
